Welcome to the McGilvra Youth Soccer Club

The McGilvra Youth Soccer Club provides the children of our district the opportunity to have a fun and competitive sporting experience while developing comradery, sportsmanship, teamwork and age appropriate soccer skills for children ages 5 and up. Since 1973, our coaches and staff have been providing the kids and parents in our community an invaluable experience on and off the field and we welcome you to join us.

Fall 2023 Season kicks off the week after Labor Day weekend

Fall 2023 Registration is open!

Key dates for the Fall 2023 season:

The season starts the week after Labor Day weekend.
The practice schedule is open to coaches to pick their practice slots.
Games schedules will be published Saturday September 2nd.
First games of the season will be held Saturday September 9th.

Information for coaches

Here are some resources for the coaches ahead of the Fall 2023 season (which can also be found here):

⭐️Inform your team about practice times! Parents are eager to know what day/time practices run so they can sign their kids up for other activities.

SYSA: Coach Resources from the Seattle Youth Soccer Association, including rules, guidelines, and practice plans.

DEMOSPHERE: How to export team contact information. This is useful when you build your team's roaster on TeamSnap.

TEAMSNAP: McGilvra Soccer has a TeamSnap club account. TeamSnap is a very useful app to facilitate communication between the team mangers/coaches and the parents. You can manage your team roster and publish practice and game schedules. Players' parents can also RSVP to practices and games.

💡Tip: if you coach the same team the previous season, simply rename your team and update your roster, no need to go through the hassle of creating a new team. Go to Preferences, then Seasons, archive your past season and create a new one.

MOJO is an app that allows you to type in all of the details of your team and practice structure and comes up with the perfect plan for your practice. Drills, practice plans, strategies, videos, game plans, etc., all catered to your coaching level and your team. We believe this could be an invaluable and helpful tool for all of our coaches no matter the age group. No one is required to use the MOJO app, but it's an excellent tool and will be very helpful for those who haven't coached before.
